16-year-old Phalandwa Ntsikele Wins Beyond Limits Talent Show Season 1 picture

Ntsikele Phalandwa has been crowned the winner of Beyond Limits Talent Show for people living with disability season 1 at Ngadeni Resort Lufule 2 at Thohoyandou on the 26th of April 2021 hosted by Echoworld.

The 16-year-old Ntsikele Phalandwa won a trophy, certificate and a thousand rand that she said that it’s going to help her to get a new phone because she needed a new phone. She also said that she still can’t believe that she won from her poetry performance that revealed how people abuses people living with disabilities. She also said that “I still can’t believe it that I won the competition because the competition was tight but the I got an opportunity to meet Matevhu you know I Love her so much and her song is my ringtone, I still can’t believe that I won’ ’Amongst the winners is Maguwelele Mpho who took the second price after his thrilling singing performance. Mpho said that he feels grateful for the talent show and he believes that it bought him some exposure because one of the judges or guests can recognise him. He also said that ‘’at home when I showed them the trophy they were so happy’ ’On the third place is Tshilidzi Mabasa who impressed the judges by her dances even though she uses a wheelchair she stood against all odds to make sure that she wins. She said that ‘’She feel so so happy, and that the competition day was another day that cannot be compared to other days’ ’Matevhu and Chilla her boyfriend who said they are so grateful to be part of the initiative.

The CEO of Echoworld Mudzanani Tendani said that the main reason of Beyond Limits Talent Show is a competition meant specifically for people with disability to motivate them that having a certain disability doesn’t make them totally disable because they can do something. He also went on and said that ‘’the other main reason is to give people with disability a platform to shine and to make them understand that it’s okay to be different and that disability is ability. Echoworld believes that everyone can do anything regardless of their abilities. Most of the contestant they said they can’t wait for season 2 of Beyond Limits Talent Show because it made them feel like they are worth it and alive. This event was hosted by Echoworld in collaboration with I am a black woman, Radio Evolution and Dreamers house studio.
